A reminder about camera phones

We understand many of our guests have babysitters kids and jobs that make it necessary to be able to be reached at the events, so unlike some other clubs, we do not prohibit folks from keeping their phones on their person at events. With this however, comes the need to remember that under NO circumstances should phones EVER be used as cameras during the event unless EVERYONE in the shot has given you permission. This is a cardinal rule, NO exceptions. If some folks want to take photos, best to do so in your private room, or if you need us to facilitate a place for you to take pics safely and away from other guests, let us know and we will see what we can do Anyone caught taking pics or video without permission will be subject to all sorts of unpleasentness, and being resticted from future events will be the least of it, so please just don’t do it. Nothing is more important than the safety and privacy of our guests. Thanks for your cooperation

It might get confusing when you think about which color bracelets to choose at the event. It’s best if you and your partner have a conversation first so that by the time you get to the PP847 party you both know where you stand and what you’re seeking out of the evening. There are two sets of bracelets: Swap Status and Orientation. Both members of a couple share the same swap status. Think of a stoplight regarding the colors:

Swap Status:

Red-Stop! We’re just here to watch or only play with each other/NO SWAP. ‘

Yellow-Caution! We will consider up to soft swap (usually nothing past oral)

Green – Go! We will consider up to full swap!

Then the ladies have additional options of Orientation:

Pink=Open to interaction with ladies (Bi or Bi-Curious)

Blue=Open to interaction with single guys.

The bracelets are not a contract. A couple wearing red is certainly allowed to change their minds and take it further with another couple if they are feeling comfortable. And, no, you don’t need to run to the registration table and exchange for a green bracelet in order to take it to the next level! We do require that both members of the couple wear the same color and that they choose the color that most represents what they are comfortable with, have prepared for, and have discussed with each other. Please socialize with everyone – don’t just base who you talk to upon what color they have chosen for their wristband. You could miss out on some fun social interaction even with a couple who indicate they don’t feel ready to play with others for now. Have fun and enjoy all the colors of the rainbow! The bracelets are not a “contract” so you can’t really make a mistake.

A word about personal Email addresses

The privacy of our members and guests is a top priority at PP847, and we go to great lengths to assure it as best we can. In the process of sign up and registration, we do ask for an e mail address, for reasons of security, and because there are those who want to be kept informed of upcoming events and news. If however you don’t want to be contacted by Email, we totally respect that and we have other means by which to verify and communicate. We have some automated tools in place. This is a necessity with the volume of requests and correspondence we get on a daily and weekly basis, and while we try to be as hands on as possible, and while we have some “built in” safeguards, we ask your help to assure there are no mishaps.

Never contact us by e mail from an Email address you do not wish to be contacted at.
Many people create an email address just for “fun” stuff, this is always a good idea
Let us know through the contact us page, phone (847-220-0648 or 224-558-8934) or through your favorite swing website if you do not wish to be contacted by Email

We never want to cause anyone any embarrassment of trouble in there daily life, and with your help we can avoid such things. As always, we thank all of you for you support and friendship, and look forward to seeing you soon.

“Please don’t feed the Lobby Lizards”

Someone sent in a note which reminded me of something. It is time once again for the periodic “Lobby Lizard” Alert. What is a “Lobby Lizard?” you might ask; A Lobby Lizzard is one of those pesky guys (although I suppose it could be a woman too) who rather than paying to enter the event, loiters in the lobby or lounge area in hopes of blending and getting in for free, or to catch the eye of someone at 3AM and get all the benefits of being a guest without the legwork or wherewithal. At PP847 we have ZERO tolerance for these pesky critters. Once detected, they are promptly removed from the venue. If you spot a Lobby Lizzard, don’t panic, don’t set off the fire alarm, and no need to call 911. They are generally harmless. Simply let a security team member, staff or host, or hostess know, and we will take care of it, and your complicity in the pest control will be rewarded. It is easy to spot a lobby lizard. They have no name tag or wrist band (or have a bad facsimile there of) they don’t make eye contact with members of the same sex, and when confronted, they use terms like “ummmm” a lot. While we don’t make a big deal about it, we generally can make arrangements if someone wants to attend an event but their finances may be a problem, but no one gets in without paying the fee or having made other arrangements. That is more for the benefit and fairness to our guests and members than for PP847. $60 one way or the other will not make or break us, but it is just not fair. In conclusion, “Please don’t feed the Lobby Lizards”, even if they happen to be hot.
